So the Colorado Rockies won the pennant last night. As I was reading an article on that subject this morning it clearly pointed out that the Rockies were in their 15th year. What??? 15 years impossible. Which lead me to thinking two things. First, I’m old, I clearly remember the days of when they switched the ball in their logo from being inside the mountains to outside the mountains. At least I still have my memory.
Second, how have they been around 15 years and they’ve seen 2 wild cards. I guess they are making up for it. I never talked bad about them because I still saw them as a new club. Now I know.
On that note, I have been asked who I will be cheering for when the Red Sox take the AL Pennant. I can see the confusion, but at the end of the day if I didn’t live in Colorado I would be bored with the NL playoffs. I just hate to see the look on everybodys face in Colorado when the Red Sox show the Rockies what its like to play in the world series.
Also I hope the Rockies ground crew learns how to cut playoff grass. In mid october straight lines and squares in the grass is unacceptable.
